Live Love Cards - Rainbow Challenge

Maybe things are starting to slow down a bit and I'll have some time to start blogging more often.  Seems like everything has been in a whirlwind since the week before Easter.  I was glad to get home last night after my granddaughter's birthday party and "chillax" for a while before bed.  Of course checking emails, Facebook, blogs, etc. is part of the chillaxin' routine, and I happened across an intriguing email from one of my favorite card makers, Darlene Devries. Long story short, I signed up as a member on her new blog, Live Love Cards, and decided to enter the April challenge, Rainbows.  I'm getting my entry in just under the wire!

    1. Oh my!!! I have to apologize for missing the kind comments on this post and not replying earlier! I guess those forgetful "senior moments" are starting a little early for me. Nevertheless, I finally made it back here and found these sweet notes. Thank you ever so much, Darlene!

  2. Perfect Pearls is one of my favorite pigments to use. Right now, this is my main source of adding some shine/glimmer to cards. It's nice to see others are still using it. Perhaps you can tell me exactly how you managed to get the watercolor look...if you have time. I am very much still learning. You and I were on a similar thought process...emboss resist.

    1. To my friend from a distance, ChangedbyHim (I have been too, by the way!!): As you can see from my reply to Darlene's comment above, I forgot to check back in after I had posted my April challenge card. I just stumbled upon yours and Darlene's comment this evening. I'm four months late!! That has to be a record for me in the "forgetfulness" category. Thanks so much for your comment and the interest you showed in the technique. After I applied the Perfect Pearls, I used the mini-mister, and then I wiped over the whole thing with a paper towel. I still enjoy getting out the old stuff like Perfect Pearls from time to time. It keeps me from getting in a rut, and it makes me feel better about having spent the $ on those items. Thanks again for your kind words. God bless!
